My love affair with Roxanne started 15 years ago, two days after I was released from the Hospital.
In my household, I did the cooking, and I had just had an accident which put me in a wheelchair which meant I could no longer maneuver through the pantry let alone cook for my family.
Years before I’d found an article in the NY Times about hiring your own personal chef, and was even able to remember where I’d filed it. As I dialed the 800 number, I rather laughed to myself realizing I was looking for a Personal Chef in Brookfield Ct. What was I thinking, This was not Greenwich.. No, they had no one in that zip code, but fortunately the woman on the other end of the phone asked for some neighboring towns, and two days later Roxanne Harrison walked in to interview us for our needs……
While I did go through 3 surgeries and a total of 18 months in a wheelchair, Roxanne proceeded to cook for us for the next 13 years!.... I never felt it was a luxury or extravagant expense… it was better use of my time.
Within those years, she learned never to deliver Meat loaf, and I had to have called at least 40 different times advising poor Roxanne that Shelley and I were going to try yet another new diet, and next week we could not have this, or ONLY have that. She had the patience of Job, and always with a smile and her amazing laugh.
One year, as our New York showroom had a bird’s eye view of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, we piled friends and family into a caravan of cars and were all glued to the windows as the massive balloons literally bounced off of them before us. Two hours after the parade, we walked back into our home, and laid out on the stove with her instructions on the masking tape was the entire Thanksgiving Dinner, complete with the Turkey carved and re assembled… ( come to think of it, Why since then have I ever done my own Thanksgiving? I hate carving.)
When we opened our Design and Distribution Center, after a year of renovating the Flatiron Building, I wanted to let both townspeople, and friends see the work we did….. We set it up as an open house from 2 to 5 pm, during which time 300 people came in and then at 7pm we had a formal sit down dinner for 50 friends. Roxanne was the mastermind of the entire day, and pulled it off in a miniscule kitchen with only one oven. They raved about our renovation, the hor d’ oeuvres, and the magnificent meal she and her crew served.
I’ve recommended Roxanne too many I know, and virtually anyone who has worked with her, continues to have her do their catering. She is always willing to make it work, provide what you want, and does so with no attitude. To this day, my now 21 year old, a chef on his own right in So Beach, still waxes poetic about her twice baked cheese stuffed potatoes. The thought alone makes me hungry!.
If you’ve never yet had Roxanne cook for you…. You’re in for a real treat, not to mention just made a new friend

I found myself at Roxie’s Gourmet Vehicle purely by chance. I was famished and exhausted from the work week. It was a moment of pure bliss when I came in contact with Roxie. She has a warm and enthusiastic personality that makes you feel welcome. I fell in love with her fiery fish tacos, with spicy salsa – A must have!

If you have not tried Roxannes CEASAR or BACON GRISSINI....well, then you have not lived! Filet w/ horseradish cream? Fabulous. Lobster dinner? Like no other. If you like to eat, you must call Rox. You'll be sure to experience the most delicious food ever and make a friend in the process! I cannot imagine any other caterer, regardless of the Event. Rox can take you from denim to diamonds. Rox: You had me at Hello!

Roxanne catered an event for my business and the food was amazing! Guests were raving about the stuffed mushrooms and crabcakes and dying to have the recipes. Roxanne is a delight to work with and made my event such a success! I will be using her for all of my future catering needs!
PS I need the recipe for those addictive chocolate chip cookies!

I recently threw a 50th Birthday for my husband in Fairfield. Didnt really know what I wanted to do, just that I was having 70 people at my house and needed big time help. Roxanne helped me make the fabulous decision to have an Appetizers-Only event. She helped me select about 12 different appetizers, many of which I never heard of. She also advised on the paper goods, liquor, bar set-up, and other details. I took all her advice and the party and the food was a TOTAL success. All throughout the night people couldnt stop RAVING about the food. For days afterwards people have been emailing me saying what a great party it was and WHERE did I find my FABULOUS caterer? They are STILL talking about some of those appetizers! Kudos to Roxanne - could not have been better. My husband's 50th celebration was awesome - in large part due to the FOOD. And the set-up and clean-up was handled so perfectly and even better, did NOT involve me (!) so I got to enjoy the party just like everyone else. (And the price was soooo much more manageable than I ever imagined!) Thanks Roxanne...you rock!

We're hooked! We needed a caterer for an event with more than thirty people. A trusted friend highly recommended Roxanne, so we gave her a try. The event was so successful that we used her for a second event, just weeks later. On both occasions, the food was outstanding, and her execution was flawless. She had everything ready just in time for our guests. Roxanne displayed stations beautifully, and she passed hors d'oeuvres to everyone, with a clear "no guest left behind" policy. Everyone could focus on enjoying the evening. And, when the parties wound down, Roxanne magically made all the mess disappear. We have booked her for a number of future events and hope she won't decide to retire for decades to come!

Thank you for making my birthday party so memorable. I’ve never used a caterer in my home before so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined how wonderful the experience would be. The set-up and clean up alone were fabulous…I didn’t have to do anything but the real star of the experience was the food and the service. Todd was a great bartender and Jessie and Claudia were circulating constantly with full trays of delicious food. My guests couldn't get over how indcredible the food was, unique and delicious were common adjectives. I highly recommend Roxanne and her staff. I will definietly be using them again for a summer party.

I have known Roxanne as the proprietress of my favorite food truck for a number of years so when it came time to find a caterer for my daughter's graduation, she was the first person who came to mind. I knew having Roxanne preparing the meal would ensure a successful event! Everything was delicious, beautifully prepared and presented. We didn't sample prior to our event... we just trusted in Roxanne and Jessie and we were NOT disappointed. They catered our 150 ppl for our adoption celebration, and created a gorgeous, DELICIOUS summer BBQ menu that was unbelieveably: 1) simple; 2) fresh; 3) classic; 4) homemade; 5) kid-friendly; and 6) gourmet!

When I say THE CHICKEN!!! anyone who has had Roxanne and Jessie marinated, grilled chicken breast will understand why I am salivating right now. Such a simple item, yet the most delicious chicken I have ever had. Roxanne prepared it on our grill, and Jessie and her team took care of refreshing the buffet table -- spinach salad, pasta salad, homemade cookies and more -- throughout our afternoon. We also fell in love with the BBQ beef brisket, which was to-die-for (with a perfect little spicy kick).

I worked in food service and events for many years, and I understand how challenging it is to keep a buffet fresh and delicious, first guest to last. Jessie and Roxanne have this down, in spades. Most importantly, however, they are complete professionals and lovely people that make it a real pleasure to work with. I highly recommend that you entrust your next party to them! You won't regret it!

My husband invited the entire Board of Directors of a private School to dinner. Roxanne made dinner for 34 a breeze! She set up and served a fabulous filet mignon and poached salmon dinner and included her signature Caesar salad. Everything was truly delicious and the board members raved about the food. Roxy and Krissy left the kitchen sparkling...what a great way to entertain! Thanks, Roxy!

Thanks so much to Rox and Jessie for another successful event. This time it was a softball team celebration with twenty plus people. The yummy hors d'oeuvres you passed around the room instead of a sit down dinner was a big hit. What a great idea! Everyone was raving about the multiple food choices that just kept coming, the perfectly cooked burgers, pork sliders, hot dogs, and the sesame chicken. Good call to bring extras. As always you did a great job with the presentation, excellent food, and sparkling clean-up. So great to be able to host a party that we can enjoy along with all the guests. Looking forward to your help again this year with our 9th annual Christmas brunch in December!

The food was over the top. We had an engagement party for our daughter who lives in London. She is quite a "foodie", having the opportunity to taste foods from around the world. The challenge was to find a caterer who could satisfy her taste buds. Roxanne did it!!! The main topic of conversation throughout the evening was about the food.
We are thrilled to recommend Catering by Roxanne. Working with Jessie was a pleasure; her suggestions were right on. If you want a memorable party, call them!

We just had another fabulously successful event with the help of Roxanne and Jessie. The food was absolutely amazing especially the spring rolls with a little kick! Most of all, Roxanne and Jessie gave us the opportunity to really enjoy the party. I had Roxanne and Jessie cater my daughters engagement party...even though it poured they still went outside delivering their appetizers (which there were none left!). The food was awesome, the service was awesome and I will be using them again I guarantee it!!

On May 23, 2015 we had the pleasure of celebrating or 50th anniversary. Roxanne and company catered the affair. She and Jessie showed up, took over and offered wonderful food and great service. (she had to throw me out of the kitchen because I kept butting in) All in all, we had so much fun and would highly recommend that if you want to have and affair, you must invite Roxanne into your home.

Roxanne catered our wedding in September. She was a pleasure to work with. Throughout the planning process she addressed every question and concern we had. Putting our trust in her expertise and talent was a huge part of what made our day so successful. Her food is phenomenal! Her staff is courteous and professional. They went above and beyond with their service to take care of more than one hundred guests. It's been truly wonderful hearing so many of our guests rave about Roxanne's food and staff. I met Roxanne many years ago. Stopping at her food truck was a pleasant experience for both the food and conversation. We spoke about catering opportunities for a long time. This past summer she catered a party at my house in the Litchfield hills. My Mom's 85th birthday, a high pressure event! My wife and I, and all in attendance, felt we made a great decision. The planning was straightforward and quick. The event, FANTASTIC! Food wonderful, service excellent, ease of interaction, attention to detail, set-up, clean-up, quality, presentation, all just great. Great team, all of them took a lot of pride in making sure we and our guests had a delicious time! Hard core foodies in our family. All of us cook, love to eat, talk food, create etc.. With one professional chef and 4 amateurs 😀 We could not have been happier. Thanks for a great day and night!

Have to say Roxanne's food was a hit at my Wedding reception. Everyone raved about it. They still mention it a month after the party.
Not only a delicious buffet, but a really professional set up and clean up after! She is totally cool and even took my grill running out of gas minutes before the wedding stated in a good nature way. Nothing like running to the store 5 minutes before you get married to get gas for the caterer!! She laughed it off and kept on going. A real PRO!

I called Roxanne in a panic a couple weeks before having a 50th wedding anniversary party for about 30 people. It was during the holidays and I never expected that she would be available on such a late notice. Although it was a very busy time, she made herself available and I am extremely grateful. Just had an enjoyable evening that was catered by Roxanne. From first walking in and seeing the presentation to the exceptional appetizers, the flavors were terrific from the 2 different tenderloins to the lime infused shrimp to the spring rolls, the variety of appetizers was fabulous, nothing was disappointing....Thank you Roxanne for a "tastefully" done evening. You did not disappoint!

I attended a fabulous party catered by Roxanne. The array of appetizers from the filet mignon crostini to the scallops with creamy polenta were outstanding. Her presentation is fabulous. I would recommend using her for any special event.

Kudos to Roxanne and staff for top notch service, a scrumptious buffet and expert management of our party from the moment the guests stepped in the door. I don’t know where to begin! Roxanne and her team helped to make our wedding dreams come true. We had an outdoor wedding and she helped walk as through everything we would need, savings, necessities, etc. Her team paid attention to everything and made sure the day went smoothly. There were a few details we had forgotten and they picked right up knew what needed to be done and we didn’t realize until the end of the night! They just took care of things without any hiccups. What a huge relief to not worry about anything on our wedding day. The food was a huge hit! With a 100 people at our wedding I swear each and everyone commented on how delicious the food was! The appetizers, salad, entrees, all delectable, trust her and you won’t be disappointed. The bartenders knew exactly what to do, what to open, mix, pour, and serve. It was perfect. I can’t write enough positive things to say about the team. Don’t spend any time looking elsewhere this is the one to hire for whatever wedding or event you may be interested in. They took the stress of the day away and allowed us to relax and enjoy. We are so grateful for all involved. Her team truely made our wedding day dreams come true and created the picture perfect event!

Outstanding in every aspect! I cannot say enough about Catering by Roxeanne and party staff. What a fabulous team. From set up, to the food, to cleanup... I never worked with a better crew. Our cocktail party was amazing and my guests could not stop raving about the food or the service. Coming from a big Italian family who is used to food from such places as Arthur Avenue, your food and service is Top notch! Anyone would be lucky to work with you and your team. My partner and I asked Roxanne to to cater a large Thanksgiving-style party we have each year and we were not disappointed. Roxanne helped us develop a delicious menu. The food arrived on time and it was hot! Roxanne helped us set up; she even carved the turkey for us. All of our guests had plenty to eat and kept going back for more. A+ experience.

First of all, Roxanne provided the most delicious pulled pork for 50 people. The amount was very generous. Roxanne’s famous Caesar salad was very good along with a Mediterranean orzo and a Tex mex corn salad which everyone was raving about. I’ve been in the catering business and it’s important to work with people that are likable and pleasing. Roxanne and Jessie are very easy to work with and most importantly their food is delicious.
